Who needs this qualification? This training is for qualified First Aiders who work in an industry and/or environment that could lead to being presented with an asphyxiated or hypoxic casualty.

- Introduction to Medical Gases
- Oxygen Therapy
- The Anatomy & Mechanics of Respiration
- When to use of Oxygen
- Use of Entonox
- Recognition of Equipment
- Use of Medical Gas Equipment
Outcomes
On completing this qualification candidates will have the skill and competence to use medical gases in emergency situations.
Course Information
Duration: Half day programme
Assessment: Ongoing oral and practical assessment of competence throughout the course
Certification: Successful candidates will receive a certificate, which it is advised should be renewed annually.
Prerequisite: None
NOTE: This course maybe taken in conjunction with an Automated External Defibrillator training course for qualified First Aiders, to form a full day course.
